My Kitchen

I love my kitchen, although it is quite small. When we moved into the appartment the kitchen just consisted of an empty small room, painted in the most awful red that I had ever seen. This is what we made out of it.

Lovely gift

A friend of my husband family, who is a painter, made us this wonderful piece of art for our wedding. It was always hanging in our hallway, but now I want to put it in our living room.

My latest Ebay goodies

I recently bought these wonderful goodies on Ebay.
My dearest treasure: An old Tea box with a stamp of my lovely hometown Hamburg (Germany). I am very happy that I got this box, that will function as a sidetable or coffeetable in my living room, especially, since I know that the tea that has been shipped in this box went to my most favorite city, Hamburg. Like this, I bring some "Heimat" (=German for home) in my living room.

2 Bauhaus Lamps (I am really a fan of Bauhaus, I love the time in Germany, I love the modern way of thinking and the concept of Bauhaus. Therefor, it is an honor for me to have the wonderful Bauhaus products in my home.) They did not arrive yet, but I am awaiting them.

Cute small yellow chair

My latest flea market find: a cute yellow chair for children. I am really in love with this chair and its happy color. Although I will perhaps paint it in light blue - my most favorite color. Since we don't have any children yet, we teach our very very lovely dog Mini to sit on it. She is very clever and loves any kind of challenge.

Recycled Beauty

This recycled beauty was once upon a time used to present designer clothes in a shop here in Athens, called LUISA. Now it got a new paint and is wearing my necklace or other treasures.

More Old Boxes - Recycled Home

I found this beautiful box on the sidewalk close to a garbage bin. I adopted it because it was love at first sight. At home I cleaned it very well, changed it a bit - and voila - it now containts some of my glass bottles and pitchers. Don't you just love recycled "furniture" and decor as well?

Old boxes

I just love old boxes, don't you? I am collecting old boxes, sometimes I paint them, sometimes, I just leave them like they are. This one is from an old fisherman's boat, he gave it to me just before he left the cute little harbour of Naoussa, Paros (a beautiful Greek island). It is painted and now it is used to keep my Interior Design magazines - my treasures.
